Creamy Vegan Puff Pastry Squares

Creamy vegan puff pastry squares are proper mingling snacks and the perfect finger food. Great for all celebrations and parties. A luxurious tasty snack with a creamy filling in a bite-size puff pastry cup. Easy to make and perfect with a glass of Champagne or sparkling wine.

Creamy Vegan Puff Pastry Squares

Impress your guest with this luxurious Champagne snack at your next party, celebration or brunch.



You need:

  • 1 roll of premade puff pastry

  • 1/2 finely chopped red onion

  • 200 ml of vegan natural flavoured full-fat sour cream

  • 200 grams of vegan natural flavoured cream cheese

  • 4 tablespoons of finely chopped dill

  • 150 ml of finely chopped chives

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice

  • Salt and white pepper

  • The zest of one lemon

  • Chives for garnish


How you make them:

  1. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out small squares and place them on baking paper.

  2. Bake the pastry in the middle of the oven. Follow the instructions on the puff pastry packet.

  3. Let the puff pastry squares cool completely on a cooling rack.

  4. Add the vegan sour cream and cream cheese to a bowl and whisk until stiff peaks.

  5. Finely chop dill, onion and 2/3 of the chives and add to the bowl. Save the rest of the chives for garnish.

  6. Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice and the zest of half a lemon.

  7. Stir gently until completely combined.

  8. Fill the puff pastry squares with filling.

  9. Top with the rest of the chives and garnish with lemon zest.

Enjoy with a glass of chilled Champagne or sparkling wine.
